    Project Description    
The Quinault Division of Natural Resources will survey and treat invasive Knotweed plant species in the lower Quinault River floodplain. The project area is located in the Lower Quinault River Floodplain from River mile 4 to 12 to cover an area of approximately 3440 acres. Of the 1,768 acres planned to be surveyed and treatedin the first year of the 2 year project, 855 are estimated to be infested with Knotweed. Within the proposed project area, river miles 8 to 12 will be getting the second year of treatment once 19-1315 is completed. Of the 1178 acres planned to be surveyed in the second year, about 500 acres are estimated to be retreated. Year Two will include survey and retreatment of the previous years treatment locations as well as initial treatment between RM 4 to 6.
